1. Who we are
PrepTutorAI ("we", "us") provides AI-powered GED, SAT, and ACT test-prep tutoring at preptutorai.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts & eligibility
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Learners under 13 require verifiable parental consent before accessing student features, in accordance with COPPA — a parent or guardian must create and consent to the account.
3. What you get
A one-time purchase unlocks the chosen exam (GED $49, SAT $99, ACT $99) or both college tests with the SAT + ACT Bundle ($149) for a full year of access from the purchase date. This includes AI-generated lessons, unlimited practice exams, the AI chat tutor, and all gamification features. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal.
4. Free first lesson
Your first lesson is free so you can experience the personalization before paying. No credit card is required to start.
5. Refunds
If you're not satisfied within 14 days of purchase, email hello@preptutorai.com for a full refund — no questions asked.
6. Acceptable use
The AI tutor is scoped to your study topic. Do not attempt to misuse it, extract system prompts, or use the service for anything unlawful, harmful, or unrelated to test preparation. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
7. AI-generated content
Lessons, quizzes, and tutor responses are generated by AI and, while carefully engineered for accuracy, may occasionally contain errors. PrepTutorAI is a study aid and does not guarantee any particular exam score or outcome.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
Account details you provide (name, email, password — always stored hashed), your onboarding interview answers (used to personalize your tutor), and your learning activity (lessons completed, quiz and exam scores, streaks). Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
2. Why we collect it
To create and personalize your tutoring experience, track your progress, process your one-time purchase, and — for learners linked to a parent account — let that parent monitor progress. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Children's privacy (COPPA)
For learners under 13, we require verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information or granting access to student features. Parents can review, request deletion of, or revoke consent for their child's data at any time by contacting us.
4. Data sharing
We share data only with the service providers that make PrepTutorAI work — Anthropic (AI generation), Stripe (payments), and Mailgun (transactional email) — each bound to protect it. We disclose data if legally required.
5. Security
Passwords are bcrypt-hashed, connections are encrypted over HTTPS, and access is authenticated with signed tokens. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your data seriously.
6. Your choices
You can access, correct, or delete your account data, and opt out of non-essential (marketing) email at any time. Email hello@preptutorai.com to make a request.
